"Irony" Says Brooke
Brook Shields and Katie Holmes gave birth on the same day, same hospital and both had girls. Brook said "You know, the irony is perfect. The world works in an interesting way, but we (were) both pretty busy that day." Access Hollywood asked if she might have had any confrontations with Cruise in the maternity ward, Shields replied: "No. God, no, and it's a gift having kids, you know, so it's a beautiful thing rather than anything else." Last summer, Tom lashed out at Brook because of her use of antidepressants for postpartum depression. Brook wrote a memoir on her experiences after giving birth to her daughter, Rowan (3), called "Down Came the Rain: My Journey Through Postpartum Depression."
